Data collected and purposes
The form collects the reason for contact, first and last name, email, country calling code and phone number, subject, message, language, and the choices concerning WhatsApp and acknowledgment of this notice. The data is used to reply and consider professional, research, artistic or publishing proposals. Marked fields are required to submit the form; permission to contact you through WhatsApp is optional. Do not send health data, credentials or particularly sensitive information.
Legal basis
For enquiries concerning a possible engagement or contractual relationship, processing is necessary to take pre-contractual steps at your request (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). In other cases, replying to correspondence relies on the controller’s legitimate interest in managing professional contacts (Article 6(1)(f)). Your number is used on WhatsApp only if authorised; you can withdraw this permission by contacting the controller. Acknowledging this notice is not consent to marketing.
Services and transfers
The website and form use Netlify; notifications are delivered to the controller’s Gmail account, operated by Google. Loading the website may also request fonts from Google Fonts, disclosing technical data such as your IP address to Google. These services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Netlify’s processing terms and transfer safeguards are described in its Data Processing Agreement; for Google, consult its privacy policy. Form data is not published on this website.
Retention and security
Data is kept in form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting professional exchanges, taking account of legal obligations and the protection of rights. Enquiries no longer needed must be deleted by the controller from the services used. Access is restricted to the controller and the providers involved in delivering the services.
Preferences and external links
The website stores your chosen language in your browser using localStorage. This preference is not sent as an advertising identifier. Links to ORCID, Academia.edu, LinkedIn and other websites lead to independent services with their own privacy notices. Optional WhatsApp permission applies only to replies concerning your enquiry.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability where applicable, and object to processing as provided by the GDPR, by writing to leonardob.info@gmail.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority or the competent supervisory authority. Form data is not subject to automated decision-making or profiling.
